Are you interested in building a career in the Drainage Industry? Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider and is recruiting for a Trainee Drainage Surveyor to join their team.
Job Overview
The main purpose of this role is to work alongside the Lead Drainage Surveyor, assisting with various surveys across client sites nationwide. The successful candidate will attend sites, assess site and asset access, inspect external below‑ground, internal and high‑level roof/gutter drainage systems, record the condition and number of assets, and support the Lead Surveyor in collating information to produce a conditional job report detailing the required teams, equipment and methods.
Hours of work are 5am – 2pm. The position offers a salary of up to £29,741 per annum, dependent on experience. This is a full‑time, permanent role reporting to the PPM Mobilisation Manager.
Responsibilities
- Attend sites nationwide to assess site and asset access, inspect external below‑ground, internal/soil and high‑level roof/gutter drainage systems, and record the condition and number of assets within the site demise.
- Support the Lead Surveyor in collating information to produce a conditional job report detailing the teams, equipment and methods required to complete the work.
- Attend sites nationwide and train in the creation of detailed PPM drainage connectivity plans, both by hand and digitally using mapping software.
- Assist with lifting and identifying site assets using testing methods such as drainage dye and CCTV equipment.
- Create remedial and recommendation forms to highlight defects, access issues and other health and safety findings.
Qualifications
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Willingness to undertake stay‑aways every 2 weeks
- Attention to detail
- Exceptional punctuality
- Basic drainage/plumbing knowledge
- Experience in plumbing and CCTV surveying is advantageous but not required
- CSCS Card
