Attega Group is proud to partner exclusively with our client to recruit an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer. This is a permanent, site-based role focused on high-quality New Build Housing installations and comprehensive aftercare.
The Package
- Earnings: 45-hour basic week + consistent overtime (Average 50hrs). OT Rates: Saturday (1.5x) | Sunday (2.0x).
- Transport: Company van, fuel card, and uniform provided (Private use of van included).
- Time Off: 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays + Your Birthday Off.
- Loyalty Bonus: Annual leave increases by 1 day per year after 3 years of service.
- Security: Pension plan and long-term career stability in a growing team.
Key Responsibilities
- As a core member of the mechanical team, you will handle full-cycle installations and warranty support:
- New Build Installation: 1st & 2nd Fix, Soil & Waste, Sanitary Ware, and Steel Pipework.
- Commissioning: Testing and commissioning of systems and domestic boilers.
- Compliance: Carrying out Gas Safety Checks and issuing Landlord/Homeowner certificates.
- Aftercare: Attending emergency call-outs and managing snagging lists as directed by Contracts Managers.
- Communication: Providing feedback on customer care issues and site progress.
Candidate Requirements
- We are looking for a technically proficient engineer who takes pride in their "site-ready" finish.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in domestic plumbing and heating.
- Qualifications: NVQ Level 2 (Plumbing) or equivalent.
- Compliance: Active Skills Card / CSCS Card and a Full UK Driving License.
- Technical Skills: Proven experience in boiler replacements, system upgrades, heating controls, and commercial-spec steel pipe/water heater installations.
- Flexibility: Willingness to join the Out-of-Hours (OOH) rota for properties under warranty.
