Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider. We are currently recruiting for a Night Plumbing Operative to join their team. The main purpose of this Night Plumbing Operative role is to attend both reactive and planned works within commercial premises, office space, retail, industrial sites and food establishments.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £46,000 + Night shift uplift + overtime depending on experience. This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be 7:30pm - 4am but can change depending on the location of works.
Reporting to the Operations Manager your responsibilities will include:
- Leak tracing and investigation on above ground water services
- Repairing leaks on water services in service voids and risers
- Removing and replacing small bore waste pipe on pot wash sinks, basins, urinals etc
- Replacing mixer taps, wash down taps and spray guns
- Replacing toilet float lines and stack pipework
- Removing and Installing cast iron soil pipework
- Assisting drainage operatives with cutting in pipe access to support blockage clearance and investigation works
- Assisting other plumbing operatives with quoted works which will consist of both small reactive works and large internal above ground drainage replacements
- Supporting drainage operatives with internal drain descales
- Using CCTV equipment to support leak investigation
- Taking water samples to confirm source of leaks
- Supporting excavation teams with repairs on below ground water mains
- Extensive descale works for above and below ground drainage, including small bore and stack pipework internally, this is carried out via the use of HPWJ, electromechanical milling machine and hand coring machine
- CCTV Surveys, inspections and detailed investigation works which will involve fault finding and providing practical solutions to support the client’s needs
The ideal candidate:
- Full UK Driving Licence
- 2 - 4 years commercial plumbing experience
- Willingness to support with drainage related plumbing works
- Experience with working on commercial properties
- Willingness to learn and progress within the role
- Hot Water Systems and Safety Course (Unvented Hot Water Course)
