Drainage Assistant Nights Gravesend and local areas
Salary: up to £34,346 depending on experience, with overtime OTE £7,000.
Hours: Full Time / Permanent. Mon‑Fri (45 hours). Typically 6 pm – 4 am, though times may vary by work location.
Responsibilities
- Perform extensive descale works for above- and below-ground drainage, including small bore and stack pipework, using HPWJ, electromechanical milling machines and hand coring machines.
- Conduct CCTV surveys, inspections and detailed investigations involving fault finding and providing practical solutions for client needs.
- Assist the lead engineer in producing site drainage plans, identifying defects, design issues, pipe conditions and missed connections in the system.
- Support specialist teams with lining, patching and rehabilitation works.
- Assist with Jetvac tanker operations, including line cleaning, root cutting and confined space entry.
- Provide general support for clearance and blockage works when emergencies arise.
Qualifications
- Full clean driver’s licence required.
- Minimum one year of experience in the drainage or construction industry, with a desire to progress to a fully qualified Drainage Engineer.
- Willingness to learn, self‑motivated and capable of working night shifts and overtime.
