Civils / Groundworks Field Supervisor Location: Gravesend / National Travel Salary: £45,000 per annum Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday Contract: Permanent Attega Group is currently recruiting for a Civils / Groundworks Field Supervisor to join an established and growing operation based in Gravesend. This is a hands-on field-based position, overseeing civils and groundworks activities across multiple teams. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity, while providing technical support and guidance to field operatives and the wider scheduling team. The role will be predominantly site-based, with 4 days in the field and 1 day in the office, alongside national travel where required. The Role - You will be responsible for: Supervising and supporting civils and groundworks operations across multiple field teams. Managing and supporting groundworkers and civils operatives to ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and to the required standard. Carrying out regular site inspections, audits and quality checks. Ensuring safe digging and breaking-ground procedures are followed, including permits, utility drawings, RAMS and safe systems of work. Conducting site surveys to assess requirements, identify risks and support the planning and quotation of works. Preparing estimates for civils works when required. Delivering toolbox talks and safety briefings. Monitoring productivity, quality and performance across field teams. Attending client meetings and providing updates on progress, issues and planned works. Providing technical support to scheduling teams around labour, plant, materials and resources. Managing company tools, plant, equipment and stock. Supporting investigations into incidents, near misses, defects and service failures. Supporting the training, development and performance of field-based operatives. There will also be a requirement to stay away from home or undertake night work/site visits when required. What We're Looking For:  8+ years' industry experience and strong knowledge of safe digging, utilities and field-based operations.
