Fabric Engineer £18.40ph Midlands/North Full time | Permanent |45 hours per week Are you an experienced Fabric Engineer? Are you happy with national travel when required? Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider. We are currently recruiting for a Fabric Engineer to join their team. The main purpose of this Fabric Engineer role is building-fabric repairs and maintenance across commercial premises, reactive and planned, keeping buildings safe, compliant, and presentable. In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £18.40ph depending on experience plus enhanced overtime. The hours of work will be 45 hour working week plus overtime when required. Reporting to the hiring manager your responsibilities will include: Minor Carpentry/joinery skills — doors, frames, ironmongery, locks, closers, skirting, fixtures Flooring (vinyl/safety flooring, matting) – Not essential. Tiling, plastering, and patch repairs Painting, decorating, and making good Minor roofing/weatherproofing, guttering, sealant/mastic, brickwork pointing General Building Knowledge - Making good Basic non-trade plumbing (taps, traps, leaks) and general fixings Survey fabric defects and capture information for quotations Reactive call-outs, planned works, project works and survey/quote information The ideal candidate: time-served or proven multi-trade fabric/carpentry background commercial/occupied-building experience; CSCS card. manual UK driving licence willingness for occasional national travel and stay aways positive attitude For more information on our Fabric Engineer role, please contact Liz in the Attega Group offices today
