We are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to join our hospital leadership team. Reporting directly to the Hospital Director, you will be responsible for maintaining the hospital estate, building services, engineering infrastructure, and equipment in a safe, compliant, and cost-effective manner. The role combines both strategic leadership and hands-on engineering responsibilities, with approximately 40% management duties and 60% operational.
You will ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, healthcare engineering standards, and healthcare policies while maintaining a safe environment for patients, visitors, contractors, and colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of health and safety within the hospital, including co-ordination and maintenance of the hospital risk register.
- Develop and implement comprehensive planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes using the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Commission, record, schedule and maintain all engineering assets and equipment on the CMMS.
- Maintain and continuously update the hospital asset register.
- Develop and manage effective asset management.
