Do you have a Mechanical, Electrical or multiskilled maintenance engineering background? Are you looking to join an ambitious and professional company? Attega Group is currently partnering exclusively with our client in recruiting a Junior Engineer.
The main purpose of this role is to carry out planned and reactive maintenance, completing scheduled maintenance tasks, responding to breakdowns, coordinating with subcontractors, and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £50,000 P/A, depending on experience, plus 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, bonus based on individual performance and company performance, pension scheme and many more.
This is a full-time role working 45 hours a week, Monday – Friday with weekend rota work required.
Reporting to the Lead Engineer, your responsibilities will be:
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, half-yearly, and annual maintenance tasks as per schedules.
- Reactive Maintenance: Respond promptly to breakdowns and faults to restore equipment functionality with minimal disruption.
- Compliance & Health and Safety: Ensure all maintenance work adheres to policies, industry regulations, and health and safety standards.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, service reports, and compliance documentation.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in equipment maintenance.
The ideal candidate:
- Recently qualified or a graduate in engineering/building services, or similar, with a mechanical and electrical bias.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe systems of work.
- Ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- Excellent communication and reporting skills.
