Group Credit Controller in Dartford

Credit Controller £35,000 depending upon experience  Dartford Full time | Permanent | 40 hours per week Are you an experienced Credit Controller? Do you have Xero experience? Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their in-house recruitment provider. We are currently recruiting for a Group Credit Controller to join their team. The main purpose of this Group Credit Controller role is to manage the sales ledger across all four trading companies, chasing overdue balances so customers pay within terms In return, our client is offering a salary of up to £35,000 depending upon experience. Company benefits also include: Holiday: 25 days' paid holiday plus bank holidays (33 days in total). After 2 years' service this rises by 1 day for each completed year (26 days after 2 years, 27 after 3), up to 30 days plus bank holidays after 6 years. The holiday year runs January to December. Birthday day off: one extra paid day off for your birthday. Company sick pay: full basic pay for 5 working days a year once probation is passed, rising to 7 days after 12 months and 10 days after 2 years. Enhanced family pay: after 2 years' service, Company maternity pay of 13 weeks at full pay then 26 weeks at half pay (or SMP if higher), plus enhanced adoption, shared parental and paternity pay. Pension: workplace pension with a 3% employer contribution, paid by salary exchange. Development: training funded through the Advantos Academy. Hybrid working: may be available by agreement with your line manager. This role is full-time and permanent. The hours of work will be Monday - Friday 40 hour week Reporting to the hiring manager your responsibilities will include: Manage the sales ledger across all four trading companies, chasing overdue balances so customers pay within terms. Post and allocate customer receipts in Xero daily, keeping accounts reconciled and statements up to date. Run weekly debtors meetings with operations, and escalate accounts for stop or legal recovery (seven-day letters, Money Claim Online). Resolve customer queries and disputes, raising credit notes and chasing purchase orders where needed. Onboard new customers: client forms, credit checks, and pro-forma terms where risk is high. Forecast customer receipts for the daily Group cashflow and report the debtor position at Monthly Performance Reviews. Own the credit control mailboxes, answering or acknowledging every message. Support month-end and audit on accounts receivable. The ideal candidate: Proven credit control experience in a B2B service business, ideally FM, building services or construction. Managing multiple ledgers with high transaction volumes. Xero experience and strong Excel skills. Knowledge of the legal recovery process, including Money Claim Online.
