The Opportunity
Attega Group is currently recruiting for an experienced Mobile Building Services Engineer with an Electrical Bias to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically qualified maintenance engineer looking for a varied mobile role across commercial sites, working within a supportive and expanding business.
The successful engineer will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), compliance checks, reactive maintenance, and general building services duties across a portfolio of commercial properties. A company vehicle will be provided, therefore a full UK driving licence is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across commercial buildings
- Emergency lighting testing and basic fault finding
- Re-lamping and lighting maintenance
- Fire alarm testing and basic compliance checks
- Tap temperature monitoring and water hygiene checks
- Plant room inspections and plant tours
- General building fabric maintenance and handyman duties
- Minor plumbing repairs and maintenance
- Responding to maintenance callouts where required
- Completing maintenance reports and compliance paperwork
- Ensuring all works are completed safely and in line with company procedures
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within building services, facilities maintenance, or commercial maintenance
- Electrically biased background preferred
- Experience carrying out PPMs within commercial environments
- Knowledge of emergency lighting and fire alarm testing
- Basic plumbing and general maintenance skills
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures
- Full UK driving licence essential
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills
- Able to work independently across multiple sites
Desirable Qualifications
- 18th Edition Level 2 or 3 Electrical Qualification
- City & Guilds / NVQ in Electrical Installation or Maintenance
- IPAF or PASMA advantageous
