Attega Group is working on behalf of our client as their preferred recruitment provider. We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join their team. The main purpose of this role is to service, maintain, install, and commission water treatment systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and a high level of customer satisfaction. In return, our client is offering a competitive salary depending on experience.

This role is full-time and permanent, working 40 hours per week, with travel across the UK and occasional overseas work required.
Reporting to the Service Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and maintaining water treatment systems including Reverse Osmosis, Deionisers, Filters, Water Softeners, and Effluent Treatment Plants
- Managing relationships with customers and site operatives
- Diagnosing and resolving technical issues both on-site and remotely
- Completing installation and commissioning of equipment (subject to skills and experience)
- Producing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
- Responding to customer requirements in line with technical and commercial specifications
- Supporting continuous service improvement initiatives
- Ensuring high standards of customer care at all times
- Adhering to all company policies, including Health & Safety
The ideal candidate:
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
- Electrical background preferred (mechanical experience also considered)
- Experience within the water treatment industry (advantageous)
- Previous experience as a Service Engineer or in a field-based technical role (advantageous)
- Knowledge of PLC systems (desirable but not essential)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good IT skills, including MS Office
- A professional and proactive approach to work
