Job Title: Business Development Manager – Fire & Life Safety Location: Harlow, Essex (with UK travel) Salary and package: £50,000 to £55,000 + bonus + car allowance Full Time / Permanent / Mon to Fri Are you an experienced Business Development Manager with a passion for Fire & Life Safety systems? Attega Group is currently working with a leading provider of fire and life safety solutions, in their search for a Business Development Manager to join their expanding team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of growing a key business area, developing tailored technical proposals, and forging long-term partnerships with clients across sectors including construction, local government, housing associations, and facilities management. Duties for this role will include: Identifying and securing new business opportunities across Fire Detection, AOV, PAVA, and Evacuation systems. Producing technical proposals tailored to client needs and current regulations. Building strong working relationships with M&E contractors, consultants, and end-users to become a trusted partner. Managing the end-to-end bid and quotation process including site surveys, proposal documents, and pricing models. Attending client meetings, networking events, and contributing to marketing and product development efforts. Accurately forecasting pipeline and sales performance via CRM systems and internal reporting. The ideal candidate will have: At least 5 years’ experience in a BDM role within the Fire or related systems sector. Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets with an existing network of contacts and live opportunities. Strong knowledge of British Standards and relevant systems including Fire Detection, Evacuation, and AOV. FIA Fundamentals certification Excellent communication, negotiation, and proposal-writing skills. The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documentation. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
