Attega Group is proud to be recruiting exclusively on behalf of our client, who are an expanding Mechanical & Electrical and Facilities Management business, for an experienced Commercial Electrician (Test & Inspection). The Role

Working as part of the electrical engineering team, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across commercial buildings throughout the North and Midlands. You'll undertake inspection and testing, fault finding, remedial works and small installation projects whilst maintaining the highest standards of customer service and compliance. No two days are the same, with work covering offices, healthcare, education, retail, industrial and commercial facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Reactive electrical maintenance and emergency call-outs
  • Electrical Inspection & Testing (EICRs)
  • Fault finding and diagnostics
  • Consumer unit and distribution board inspections
  • Emergency lighting testing and repairs
  • Small electrical installations and upgrades
  • Electrical remedial works following inspections
  • Completing certification and electronic job reports
  • Liaising professionally with clients on site
  • Ensuring all work complies with BS7671 and Health & Safety regulations

What We're Looking For

Essential:

  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical Installation
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671)
  • City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Test & Inspection
  • Commercial electrical maintenance experience
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Strong fault-finding ability
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Desirable:

  • ECS Gold Card
  • IPAF
  • PASMA
  • Experience working within Facilities Management or Building Services
