As we continue to expand, we’re looking for motivated people to join us and help support our success across all areas of the business.
What we’re looking for: We currently have a team of 7 covering digital marketing, SEO, web development, and graphic design. We’re now looking to expand this team with someone who can work alongside our current Web Developer to build, maintain, and optimise all websites across the group. We have two in-house designers who work closely with the development team, delivering a steady flow of new page designs, site updates, and functionality improvements aimed at enhancing user experience. You should be very comfortable in a fast-paced, reactive environment with the ability to multitask across multiple projects, sectors, and tasks. We’re always developing new ideas and seeking innovative ways to grow and are looking for someone keen to be part of this journey and actively contribute to the success of our expanding business.
Required Skills/Experience:
- At least 2 years’ experience in a web development role
- Keen to learn and grow with the company
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in liaising with different people and departments throughout the business
- Building front-end pages with HTML and CSS/SASS
- Front-end programming with JavaScript/jQuery
- Back-end programming with PHP
- Knowledge of site accessibility, page speed, and best practices
- Experience with WordPress CMS, using themes, plugins, posts
- Experience with Advanced Custom Fields, custom post types, custom fields
- Experience interacting with a server e.g. Termius
- Basic database knowledge, MySQL, MariaDB
- Basic knowledge of AWS, setting up a server, modifying access
- Experience creating themes, plugins, post types, and with modifying the admin area in WordPress
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React would be beneficial
- Experience working with Laravel or similar MVC frameworks is a plus
Role responsibilities:
- Assisting with the build of new websites within the group
- Implementing new pages
- Fixing design or functional issues raised by the marketing team
- Website hosting and server set-up
