Example Recruitment Group is currently working with a well-established heating contractor specialising in the local authority sector. They are currently seeking a qualified Domestic Gas Engineer to cover the Wigan area. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out servicing, repairs, and maintenance within domestic social housing properties on a Council contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out annual Gas Safety Checks (LGSR)
  • Fault finding and repairs on central heating systems
  • Wet works plumbing including replacing radiators, cylinder and valves
  • Deliver a high level of customer service, ensuring tenants receive excellent care
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, including Risk Assessments, Safe Systems of Work, and COSHH records

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience with gas qualifications
  • Extensive experience in servicing boilers and gas appliances, as well as strong fault-finding, diagnostic, and repair skills
  • In-date ACS qualifications, including CKR1 & HTR1
  • Full UK driving licence
  • No unspent criminal convictions (DBS check to be carried out upon offer of employment)

Salary & Benefits:

  • 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
  • Additional earning potential with overtime, call out and weekend work available at enhanced rates
  • Van, tools, PPE/uniform, and PDA provided
  • Salary: Β£31,512.00 per year
  • OTE Β£40,000+ per annum
