We are currently recruiting for a Commercial Gas/Combustion Engineer to join our prestigious client on a large site in North London. The Commercial Gas Engineer will have relevant Gas Safe qualifications to carry out reactive breakdowns and servicing of all necessary gas assets on site. This is a static position in North London; however, there will be opportunities to visit other sites in the future should you wish to do so.
Job Purpose: To carry out the servicing and reactive repairs as required to the commercial boilers and associated systems and plant across the large Energy Centres site in North London. There are ancillary systems and plant which are also supported by the Commercial Gas team. Particular emphasis on safe working procedures is required, and the successful candidate will be expected to embrace these procedures in full.
Duties:
- Carry out the service and maintenance of a diverse range of boilers and their related systems under the contract.
- Respond to reported gas escapes.
- Perform the clerical duties as required by the job.
- Provide the client with accurate information and feedback concerning plant status.
- Be competent to identify parts required, obtain quotations, and carry out necessary purchasing procedure.
- Work as part of a team to provide out of hours call out for which there is a standby allowance and minimum payment for any call responded to.
- Carry out repair, diagnostics, and maintenance to various commercial boilers.
Skills/Qualifications to apply: ACS qualifications as follows: CCN1, Cenwat, COCN1 or CoDNCO1, ICPN1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, Met4, CIGA1, CDGA1, BMP1, and CORT1. Should have a sound knowledge of electrical and electronic fault diagnosis as applicable to the gas industry. Knowledge of BMS/Basic IT skills an advantage.
