Senior Civil Engineer
Central London
Salary: up to 60k
Hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 from home
The business has 40 staff (mainly structures) and a very wide range of projects. Recent schemes include a re-development of a safari park, high-end residential in London, a new KIA car showroom, a new M&S superstore, a new shopping centre in Hampshire, and Heathrow Terminal 5.
Currently, the Civil Engineering team consists of an Associate and an Engineer, and they are looking for a Senior / Principal Civil Engineer as a number two in the team. The plan over the next 3-4 years is to grow the civils team to 10 people, so this person will have an opportunity to progress as they build from underneath.
The company is very social and hosts monthly and quarterly events, as well as trips abroad. They do 3 days in the office and 2 from home, with some flexibility to work more from home depending on meetings, etc.
Responsibilities:
- Carry out drainage design for development projects.
- Good knowledge of SUDS and Flood Risk Assessments.
- Estate road & car park design.
- Able to attend meetings with clients, local authorities, and external stakeholders.
- Able to run a civils project with support if needed.
- Prior experience training junior staff would be useful.
Software Experience:
In-house, they use CAD, Site 3D, Civil 3D, Microdrainage, and Infodrainage, so experience with some of this software is needed, but not all as some companies do not use all of the above.
