A specialist rail infrastructure contractor is looking for a Senior Civil Engineer to join their team, delivering key railway projects across London and the South East. This role is suited for an experienced civil engineer who is hands-on, proactive, and ready to get stuck into Lineside Civils works. As a subcontractor working with Tier 1 contractors, we need someone who can lead from the front, providing both site-based expertise and commercial support, including tendering and pricing. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage lineside civil engineering works on active rail projects.
- Work hands-on on-site, ensuring safe and efficient project delivery.
- Assist with tendering and pricing, helping to develop cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Ensure that all works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining high quality standards.
- Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and compliance checks to uphold safety standards.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless project execution.
- Lead on design and constructability assurance, embedding value engineering from the start.
- Support planning and delivery activities, integrating with wider project teams and supply chains.

- Strong experience in railway civil engineering, particularly Lineside Civils.

- Experience working on Tier 1 contractor projects.
