Senior Civil Design Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Civil Design Engineer to join them working in the water industry. It is a permanent position with flexible hybrid working. Key Responsibilities: Develop design layouts that are cost-effective, align with specification requirements, and are easily constructed and commissioned. Cost-effectiveness encompasses all costs associated with the design and construction, including design time, materials, erection costs, and any cross-disciplinary impact of the design. Ensure the use of standard practices wherever possible to maintain competitiveness and efficiency. Provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department. Adhere to established procedures and processes, contributing to the continuous development of the department. Assist in the development, monitoring, and updating of department procedures and processes. Write, review, and implement efficient procedures to support the smooth operation of the department. Coordinate design efforts with all relevant disciplines, both internal and external, to ensure that all processes benefit the overall success of the project. Maintain accurate files and records throughout the project lifecycle. Strive to meet and exceed customer satisfaction, with an understanding that the customer includes both end-users and internal stakeholders.
