We are seeking an experienced
Chemical Process Engineer
to join a growing engineering team, supporting a range of exciting new projects in the fine chemicals sector.
The role is based in Manchester working on a hybrid basis; typically 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
This is a hands-on chemical process engineer role requiring strong technical capability, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Requirements for the Chemical Engineer:
Chartered Engineer status
10+ years of relevant experience in chemical process design
Background in the fine chemical industrial sector, including:
PFD/PID development
Process descriptions & control philosophies
Process equipment datasheets
Process schedules for pipelines, valves, instruments, etc.
Process sizing calculations
HAZOP attendance
Collaborative approach, working closely with piping & layout, electrical, and control & instrumentation teams
Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with clients and multidisciplinary teams
Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally overseas for client visits and site surveys (no extended stays away from home)
Ability to manage multiple projects ranging from large greenfield/brownfield developments to smaller modifications and upgrades
