Overview
At Quest Global, we are actively looking for Gas Turbine Repair Engineer(s) to join one of our Aerospace and Defence projects based in Derby, UK.
Responsibilities
- Development of repair solutions and recommending inspection methods to meet short term and long-term business needs.
- Analyse to substantiate component repair solutions and/or non-conformance in support of engine overhaul.
- Read and interpret Engineering drawings, the GD&T associated with those drawings and perform tolerance stack up analysis.
- Collaborate with global engineering organizations and support functions as required (such as design, stress, materials, systems engineering, etc.).
- Work across functions in the development, implementation, and final industrialization of a repair to support repair shops.
- Generate change in repair development documents and engine repair manuals.
- Leverage prior experience and broaden knowledge of one\\\'s own technical discipline to meet product deliverables, potentially using multiple internal and external resources outside of own function.
- Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers, including leadership.
- Share engineering information and promote open dialogue, including timely communications on significant issues or developments.
- Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Develop specialized knowledge in the discipline and act as a best practice/quality resource with awareness of the latest technical developments.
- Use judgment to make decisions or solve moderately complex tasks or problems in areas of operational/product management, manufacturing, technology, or engineering; apply technical experience and data analysis to support recommendations.
- Explain difficult or sensitive information and work to build consensus; develop persuasion skills to influence others within the field.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Repair engineering experience
- Ability to interpret aero engine assembly and component level drawings
- Familiarity with Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) processes
- Good knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve problems
- Ability to document and plan
- Early adopter of change, adjusting to find faster, simpler approaches that are impactful
