Contract Opportunity: ET SCADA Test QA Analyst (Power Systems)

Location: Hybrid Warwick, UK

Duration: 6 months

Rate: (inside IR35 among the most competitive on the market)

Join a critical infrastructure programme where your work will directly support the safe and reliable operation of the UKs electricity network. We are looking for an experienced ET SCADA Test QA Analyst to join a fast-paced, high-impact control systems project. If you have a background in real-time telemetry, power system testing, or SCADA environments, this is a chance to contribute to a programme of significance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support system testing activities for a new SCADA deployment managing over 350 substations and thousands of sensors.
  • Review test artefacts including test plans, scripts, and execution evidence.
  • Collaborate across Agile delivery teams including product owners, SMEs, developers, and third-party suppliers.
  • Drive defect triage and resolution, track test KPIs, and escalate risks where necessary.
  • Act as the Voice of Quality, ensuring test assurance aligns with safety-critical standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in QA/testing within power systems, real-time control, or SCADA environments.
  • Familiarity with IEC 101, telemetry protocols, alarm handling, and control system integration.
  • Strong working knowledge of test management tools such as JIRA, XRAY, HP ALM, or similar.
  • Excellent documentation and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Exposure to standards like IEC 61850, IEEE, or NIST frameworks is highly desirable.
  • Able to work effectively with offshore teams and within regulated delivery environments.
