We're working with a leading provider of decarbonisation and energy services to the public sector, delivering unique end-to-end solutions that help reduce energy costs and support the public sector on their journey to net zero. To join their Energy & Carbon department we have an opportunity for an Energy Market Analyst to conduct in-depth market analysis, interpreting key economic and energy supply data and communicate insights clearly to both internal and external stakeholders, through written reports and presentations.
As an Energy Market Analyst, you would:
- Support the procurement team to deliver exceptional energy trading market performance for their customers.
- Assist in making informed decisions regarding short and long-term trading strategies, risk management, and market forecasts.
- Collaborate with other authorized traders to manage power and gas volume requirements, ensuring a smooth and efficient trading process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse market data and produce reports on key issues and potential outcomes affecting trading and risk strategy.
- Write briefings and presentations on UK and European energy commodity price drivers, including supply and demand factors.
- Present market updates at internal meetings, customer forums, governance panels, and in newsletters.
