Your new company

You will be joining a Tier 1 contractor based in Bristol operating within the nuclear industry. This multi-accredited and established contractor specialises in the delivery and installation of nuclear new-build for high-profile clientele, including EDF on Hinkley Point C, offering a strong pipeline of work as well as the opportunity to work on major infrastructure projects contributing to Net Zero. As Contract Manager, you will be based out of their Bristol office and take responsibility for the management and administration of the Hinkley Point C commercial contract.

Working hours: 37.5 hrs per week with hybrid and flexible working.

Your new role

As Contract Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Monitoring and managing the HPC contract within a defined level of authority, including supporting contractual negotiations, producing change and associate reports and monitoring allocation changes

Acting as the main point of contact for day-to-day contractual administration and maintaining strong relationships with customers, suppliers and internal and external stakeholders

Managing task orders, including the receiving and tracking draw down on each including preparing monthly progress valuations and claims/application for payment work completed within deadlines

Ensuring early warnings are identified and communicated in an efficient and timely manner as well as chairing/attending regular risk reduction meetings with clients/suppliers

Promoting positive and proactive contract management behaviours across the operational and planning teams to optimise commercial potential and minimise contract risk, through proactive risk management

Managing project change control, contract management and risk mitigation with colleagues, clients and suppliers.

What you\’ll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:

Previous contractual management experience within the nuclear () or other heavy civil industries

Strong understanding of NEC contracts, their options and application in a client-facing role

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel

Strong commercial, negotiation and contract administration skills

BPSS Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)

Full UK driving licence.
