What you’ll do
When you join the Davisons Law team as a Civil Litigation Solicitor / Legal Executive, you will manage your own caseload with minimal supervision. The successful candidate will handle a variety of civil disputes, providing legal advice and representation for clients in matters including but not limited to company and partnership disputes, contract disputes, consumer disputes, and preferably with experience in building & construction disputes and general commercial disputes. You will have a minimum of 2 to 5 years PQE as a Civil Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain strong professional working relationships with new and existing clients.
- Manage own work allocation; must have proven track record as a Civil Litigation Solicitor or Legal Executive.
- Prepare legal documents.
- Attend and represent clients in court when requested.
- Gather evidence to support the client's case.
- Process cases on a timely and cost-effective basis.
- Maintain strong organisational skills, be IT literate, and experienced in using web-based case management systems.
- Be commercially astute, understanding the importance of business targets and their impact on the practice, generating income in line with targets.
- Support and develop assistants and paralegals within the Civil Litigation department.
- Handle client enquiries face-to-face, remotely, and by telephone.
