We have over 175 employees that we are proud to have represent us, operating from our offices in Manchester, Belfast, Dublin, and Glasgow. As the business grows from strength to strength, we are now looking to further extend our engineering team by recruiting a very experienced Chemical Engineering Engineer/Consultant who has extensive heavy industrial and some more recent renewable power project experience (emerging technologies like hydrogen, CCS, etc.) to be based from our Stockport office with some UK and EU travel.
We are looking for:
significant industrial project experience working in an operational, commissioning or construction oversight role;
a good degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering;
a Chartered Engineer;
having full right to work in the UK; and
the ability and willingness to travel both in the UK and occasionally overseas.
With sector experience in one or more of the following areas:
oil or gas refining;
industrial gas production;
fine chemical production; and
emerging technologies within renewable power .
detailed working knowledge of applicable standards and best industry practice for industrial process components.
good experience with the reviewing of detailed design of process systems.
ability to prepare and review typical process plant documentation, i.e., heat & mass balances, PFDs, P&IDs, basis of design documents, process calculations, functional descriptions, data sheets and cause/effect charts.
good understanding of the principles of process plant layout with a working knowledge of pipework routing and arrangement.
working knowledge of quality control systems applicable to process plant design, manufacturing, and construction; plus an excellent understanding of process safety principles.
