Senior Authorised Person Essex Permanent £70,000 – £85,000 + car allowance bonus and benefits package The Client My client is recognised as a world class provider of engineering services to the utility sector and wider markets. They are currently recruiting a Senior Authorised Person to operationally manage/complete 11kV & 33kV SAP duties on the UKPN DNP&P contract delivering all work activities to include overhead and underground network reinforcement, diversions and new connections adhering to safety regulations, quality standards, project specification and in a timely manner. The role reports to the Operations Manager / Portfolio Manager. Duties and Responsibilities will include: * Operationally deliver multiple projects safely, competently and effectively to time * Provide guidance to team members to ensure the safe, effective and efficient implementation of the company’s operations * Complete network feasibility with consideration given to minimise customer interruption numbers * Adhere to and provide guidance to safety rules and procedures * Liaise with third party network operators to ensure the smooth implementation of work * Maintain site safety at all times and complete risk assessments * Report any concerns regarding SHEQ to the SHEQ team * Ensure that all statutory records, certificates, licences, notifications and notices are in place * Complete all test documents and asset registrations. Requirements: * Substantial experience of SAP duties * Knowledge of distribution substation equipment – transformers / switchgear / Distribution boards * Knowledge of the overhead network * Experience of working on switchgear / substation / asset replacement works * Sound knowledge of Health & Safety and its practical implications * CDM knowledge * HNC or above * IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or other safety related qualification * NRSWA accredited * UKPN authorisations * Full Driving Licence The Rewards The rewards for the successful candidate are excellent.
