Leakage Technician Birmingham and surrounding areas Permanent Up to £29,370 (Dependent on Experience) + Vehicle, Fuel Card + Benefits The Client Our client provides essential water and waste water services across a number of water frameworks in the UK. They operate in dynamic and ever-changing environments across the water and wastewater sector and currently have a permanent role available for an experienced Water Leakage Technician in the Midlands region. The company is focused on delivering cost effective sustainable leakage reduction through analysis and investigation of water usage and the promotion of leaks and/or identification and logging of usage to ensure the company meets its leakage performance commitment. The Role The Technician’s primary function is to undertake the leak detection, water audit and automated meter reading works assigned to them within the organisation. This includes the performance of works, management of assets to undertake works and associated administration as required by our client. Additional Duties * Management of own workload to ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned jobs. * Use of a range of leak detection survey equipment. * Completion of leak reports to a high standard. * Adherence to company quality standard and self-identification of all training needs. * Timely and accurate reporting of all works completed, or issues raised to the relevant parties. * Visual site based assessment including a range of practical flow and usage tests identifying high consumption and suggesting methods to reduce consumption. * Completion of audit reports as per company requirements. * Training of others if / when required. * Completion of the physical installation of a range of automated meter reading products. * Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of the above as the need arises and training permits. * Complete all relevant audits, reports and jobs on our clients’ systems. * Provide regular (daily) reports to the Operations Manager or other senior level employees as required. * This role will involve working away and technicians are required to stay away from home (probably a couple of nights per month). * Use of company IT systems including Microsoft office suite, AMR product software and any other applications required by the role.
