Our client
Our well-established client who covers residential warranties and also building control services is now looking to expand their team and is seeking a Building Control Manager.

Main Purpose
• Directs and coordinates the internal structure of a national building control service
• Implements company policies and achieves company goals and objectives to ensure a competent and compliant working environment and that quality standards are consistently met.
• To ensure the efficient day-to-day management of a Building Control Team.
• Oversees the Building Control team to ensure inspection and plan checking service delivery targets and quality levels are consistently met.

Responsibilities
• Undertake professional development reviews and carry out regular assessments of the Building Control Team.
• Ensure professional staff along with technical trainees/graduates/associates and apprentices are working on projects for which they have appropriate levels of skill and experience.
• Demonstrate a competent understanding whilst having the necessary ability, knowledge, and skill to complete the role successfully.
• Good communication skills both verbal and written with appropriate interpersonal skills.
• Ability to effectively manage a varied and busy workload.
• Able to work with the minimum of supervision, in line with established policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of environmental issues and relevant standards/legislation.
• IT literate with the ability to use a range of software programs.
