As an Associate Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project management team in delivering small to medium-sized projects. Working under the leadership of senior project managers, you will be responsible for executing work packages and tasks within established project frameworks. This role offers an opportunity for candidates with a good understanding of project management principles to gain practical experience and develop skills necessary for advancement to a project manager role in the future.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular financial reports for projects, detailing budgetary status, expenditures, and financial forecasts.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and issues impacting project budgets; collaborate with the project team to develop and implement financial risk mitigation strategies.
  • Cost Control: Implement effective cost control measures to ensure projects are executed within approved budgets.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance project management and financial processes to optimise efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial documentation, including budget reports, cost estimates, and financial projections.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with project managers, finance teams, and other customer stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality assurance checks on financial aspects of project deliverables to ensure alignment with project objectives and organisational standards.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are effectively managed and communicated.
  • Project Status Reporting: Develop and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholders, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues, and proposing recommendations for resolution.
  • Project Support: Provide support to the project management team in planning, executing, and monitoring small to medium-sized projects.
  • Work Package Delivery: Execute assigned work packages and tasks according to project plans and timelines, ensuring adherence to quality standards and budget constraints.
  • Professional Development: Actively seek opportunities to develop project management skills and knowledge, with the goal of advancing to a project manager role in the future.

What we’d like you to bring to the team:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems
  • Knowledge of Incident Management
  • Knowledge of ITIL Processes
  • Experience of working amongst multi vendor IT environments
  • Experience of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) engagement
  • Knowledge of Windows hardware, software and networking troubleshooting
  • Experience of advanced troubleshooting of Windows based software, hardware and network troubleshooting
  • A full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to cover other UK sites for holidays and sickness
  • British Citizenship / Eligible for Security Clearance.
