ROLE SUMMARY:
The Services Scheduler for After Sales and Service team will be responsible for scheduling the deployment of technical personnel for the execution of service projects within the Cambridge Life Sciences Division, which will include travel deployments to customer sites as well as load balancing the team when they are not travelling. This role requires working closely with Applications Engineering Manager, Project Managers, Team Leads, Shop Managers & our Global Service Partners.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing requests to schedule and assign technical service personnel to projects with the intent to meet schedules and budget.
- Creating and managing the resource schedule and loading for all projects.
- Managing incoming quoting requests, assigning personnel & following up with assignees to meet deadlines.
- Collaborating with Project Managers, functional managers, and other ATS divisions to ensure that the right resources are provided to fulfil resource requests.
- Maintaining visibility of project status (on schedule, not on schedule) so that accurate delivery dates can be predicted.
- Utilising the Oracle system to schedule and support the distribution of project information assigned.
- Running Bi-Weekly Scheduling Overview with Leaders.
- Publishing weekly utilisation reports to the Management team.
- Independently problem-solving and managing the assignment of technical services staff to available work ensuring adequate skillset to complete the work.
- Ensuring that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the ATS Code of Business Conduct.
- Other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications:
Education: A post-secondary diploma or degree specialising in technology, engineering or equivalent. Leadership and Project Management experience is an asset.
Experience: The successful candidate is an excellent communicator, who displays professionalism, leadership, and well-developed interpersonal skills. Possesses the ability to collaborate with a multi-disciplined engineering team. 5 years’ experience in road service and/or project coordination or resource scheduling in a dynamic environment. Experience scheduling service staff in a local or international context is considered a strong asset. Strong background/education in lean process, procedure, and manufacturing practice would be an asset. Driven continuous improvement mentality and experience with conducting problem-solving exercises, root cause analysis and successful implementation of initiatives would be an asset. Fluent in English, written and oral. Possesses excellent time management skills and can coordinate multiple projects. Resilient, calm under pressure, self-driven, attentive to detail, consistent. Proficient with Microsoft software tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, etc.
