Atrom Mindcare RTC is seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist in General Adult Psychiatry to join our expanding Adult ADHD Service.
Main duties of the job
The post-holder will play a key role in delivering high-quality diagnostic assessments, formulation, and management plans for adults presenting with ADHD and related comorbidities. This is a flexible, hybrid role suited to a motivated clinician with a strong interest in neurodevelopmental disorders and modern, patient-centred models of care.

Atrom Mindcare delivers a range of Adult Psychiatric treatments including Deep TMS and Psychological therapies and Psychiatric Assessments. This post is to recruit for the growing demand for its Adult ADHD pathway under NHS Right to Choose to deliver evidence-based care to adults with ADHD. Our vision is to ensure timely, high-quality assessments and person-centred treatment pathways for all service users.
Job responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive specialist assessments for Adult ADHD, including diagnostic reviews, risk assessment, and formulation.
- Offer expert clinical opinion for complex cases and contribute to service development/team discussions.
- Maintain high standards of clinical documentation, including assessment reports, letters, and electronic health records.
- Ensure safe, ethical practice in accordance with GMC and RC Psych standards.
Service & Professional Duties
- Engage in regular CPD and maintain GMC revalidation requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance patient care pathways.
- Attend clinical and operational meetings as required (remote).
Person Specification
Experience
- Demonstrable interest and experience in the assessment and treatment of Adult ADHD.
- Experience working within NHS at Consultant Grade within General Adult Psychiatry.
- Excellent communication, clinical judgement, and risk-management skills.
- Ability to work flexibly and effectively within a hybrid service model.
- Experience working in ADHD specialist services or neurodevelopmental clinics.
- Familiarity with digital health platforms and remote assessment tools.
- Experience conducting ASD assessment in Adults.
Qualifications
- CCT (or within 6 months of obtaining CCT) in General Adult Psychiatry. Full GMC registration with licence to practice.
- Completion of UKAAN Assessment & Treatment of Adult ADHD course or equivalent recognised training.
