Job Summary: Obtain blood and other non-blood specimens from patients, deliver samples to the laboratory, and provide accurate information about laboratory tests according to standard procedures. Responsibilities may vary based on site needs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC) from an accredited institution or recognized equivalent. Evaluation required for non-U.S. diplomas.
- CPR and Phlebotomy Technician (PBT) certification preferred.
- Graduation from a Phlebotomy technical training program strongly preferred.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification strongly preferred.
Experience & Skills:
- Up to 1 year of medical practice experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and customer service orientation required.
- Proficiency with Lab Information Systems (LIS) and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) preferred.
