We are looking for an experienced Strategy Lead to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the Insurance industry, ideally the Lloyd’s market. This person will help with the execution and operationalisation of the group’s five-year strategy.

Role

  • Coordinate and manage the 5-year strategy process
  • Stakeholder management of all stakeholders in the process and end user/audiences (e.g. board, ExCo, staff, shareholders)
  • Project management of the process
  • Compilation of the various components into a single story
  • Assist with coordination and project management of designing, iterating and operationalising the Target Operating Model
  • Lead on strategy development for entities within the Group, including design, stakeholder management, project management, and compilation
  • Aid in the recruitment and onboarding of new Underwriting cells
  • Coordinate business plan development, including P&L forecasting and operating model design
  • Shepherding new potential opportunities through the approval process
  • Connecting the dots/assisting with project managing onboarding of new cells
  • Assisting the active underwriter and new cells with any new strategic project/endeavours
  • Aid in the coordination and management of the capital raise process, including storytelling, artefact production, stakeholder management and project management
  • Structure and deliver regular strategy updates to key audiences

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Existing experience working in a strategy role within the insurance market
  • Strategic project leadership experience, ensuring initiatives are designed and executed to advance organisational priorities
  • Strong understanding and ideally experience of the Lloyd’s market
  • Ability to define, scope, and deliver programmes that operationalise strategy
  • Ability to structure large pieces of work into manageable workstreams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the standards and rules of the regulatory bodies and those set out in the firm’s standard documents
