This is a great opportunity for a Senior Claims Adjuster who has experience with managing specialty business lines along with knowledge of Lloyd’s Claims Lead Arrangements to join Atrium. Responsibilities include:
- Evaluating data quality
- Preparing management reports
- Investigating exposure profiles
- Contributing to team projects and initiatives
Inwards Claims Management:
- Entry and maintenance of internal Claims Management System
- Organising and running reports from CMS
- Claim file management, including retrieving brokers claim files, document management, scanning and document retention
- Agreeing and settling claim bordereaux
- Agreeing and arranging for settlement of valid covered claims upon selected accounts, subject to terms of individual authority
- Analysis and review of individual claims upon programmes where managed syndicate leads, and follows as required, subject to terms of individual authority
- Attend weekly claims meeting, and organise, minute and circulate if required
Reporting:
- Preparing various management reports for internal and external purposes as required
- Accountable for delivering good consumer outcomes within their areas of responsibility, in line with the SM&CR Duty of Responsibility and the Conduct Rules
Relationship Management:
- Able to maintain ongoing relationships with brokers, third party experts and colleagues
Administration and Compliance:
- Able to operate at all times to the standards and rules of any applicable regulatory bodies and guidelines applicable within Atrium and those set out in the firm’s standards documents
Accuracy:
- Able to input data and maintain records with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Personal Development:
- Able to ensure competence is attained and maintained
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive experience in handling claims
- An excellent knowledge of the Lloyd’s Claims Lead Arrangements
- Experience in the London market as a claims handler, broker, loss adjuster, or other relevant capacity is required
- Experience handling claims arising from property classes
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required as the duties of this role involve liaising with outsourcing partners, negotiation and liaising with brokers, loss adjusters and lawyers
- Enthusiastic and possess good technical knowledge with a willingness to learn and work together with the wider team to provide excellent service levels
- Contribute and generate ideas to improve the operation of the broader claims team
- Knowledge of the main issues affecting the claims and insurance market
- Knowledge of the standards and rules of the regulatory bodies and those set out in Atrium’s standard procedures
- Knowledge of the types of business transacted by the syndicate
- IT skills (Word, Excel and other software packages used within the business)
