Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join Atrium and lead the end-to-end delivery of a diverse portfolio of business change projects. To assume the responsibility for overseeing the delivery, governance, and scope of multiple high-priority initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes and alignment with business objectives. Experience within the Insurance/ Lloyd's market is essential.

Description

The Project Manager is accountable for planning, coordinating and delivering multiple priority initiatives across the business. Working within the Project Management Framework, the role provides clear structure, robust governance and transparent reporting throughout the project lifecycle. It builds strong relationships across Business Change, IT, operational teams and third parties, translating business needs into practical delivery plans and sustainable outcomes.

Required Competencies

• Proven ability to lead business change projects from initiation through to implementation and benefits realisation.
• Lead projects managing scope, outcomes, dependencies, benefits, timelines, budgets and quality.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of an organisation.
• Excellent project governance, planning, risk, issue, dependency and financial management capabilities, escalating promptly where required.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, regulated and rapidly changing environment.
• Provide clear progress reporting, maintain accurate project documentation and support timely decisions through governance forums.
• Responds effectively to changing project requirements, priorities and external factors. Adapts plans accordingly and able to confidently communicate changes to the correct stakeholders.
• Assess business readiness and coordinate communications, training, transition and handover.
• Capture lessons learned and apply them to improve future delivery.
• Strong continuous improvement mindset.
• Experience of delivering change using Agile, waterfall or hybrid methodologies.
• Act as an ambassador for the Business Change function.

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Knowledge of Lloyd’s and the roles of key London Market participants, including insurers, managing agents, brokers and cover holders.
• Understanding of the insurance lifecycle, including underwriting, policy administration, claims, renewals and settlement.
• Understanding of business processes, data, technology and operational dependencies within an insurance environment.
• Awareness of regulatory, risk, compliance and operational resilience considerations relevant to insurance change.
• Desirable: Knowledge of London Market transformation, digitalisation and market-wide change initiatives.
• Experience of end-to-end project management and delivery.
• Ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of project governance, reporting and financial management.
• Experience of maintaining RAID logs.
• Experience of stakeholder engagement and senior-level communication.
• Experience of workshop facilitation and cross-functional collaboration.
• Understanding of benefits realisation and performance measurement.
• Experience of user acceptance testing, implementation, cutover and transition to business as usual.
• Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant project and change management tools.
• Desirable: Understanding of commercial, procurement and supplier management principles.
• Desirable: Recognised change or project management qualification, such as APMG or PRINCE2.
