Role
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Technology Innovation Analyst to assist with researching and triaging innovative technology ideas. We are looking for a candidate who is ideally familiar with the Insurance / Lloyd's market.
Description
- Opportunity Identification (Innovation Funnel)
- Understand our strategy, and the relevant current processes and apps.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends in technology and insurance by attending conferences and market events, and by reading articles in relevant news sites. Creating summaries for the consideration of Technology Innovation Group (TIG).
- Collect information and insights from people after they have attended conferences to ensure dissemination of information and insights.
- Identify products that sit within Atrium's appetite and strategy.
- Explore ideas via discussions with relevant stakeholders, organise demos and track outputs.
- Manage a list of all vendors and ideas seen and reasons for progression or dismissal, and every six months pull out any trends or themes for wider communication.
- Make recommendations to the TIG on ideas to move to POCRunning POCs (Proof of Concepts).
- Responsibility for running POCs
- Create the business case and identify success criteria.
- Effect due diligence on contracts, data and AI (including working with Procurement to get optimal contracts in place).
- Carry out weekly POC check-ins with vendor/stakeholders on progress to ensure project health and progress.
- Short monthly status updates for the TIG via Atrium's PPM tool (Project for the Web).
- Validate results against the scope.
- Initiate roll-out of successful POCs or handing over to Business Change for bigger project roll-outs or to App Management for support.
- Document closure including successes, failures and lessons learned.
- Ensure all POCs have SMART objectives.
- Identify bottlenecks or issues and resolves or escalates.
- Run programmes related to POCs, set by the Digital Strategy owners, to give us better insights and more robust conclusions.
- Coordination & Communication
- Ensure full stakeholder collaboration; working with the business teams to schedule POCs and rollout change.
- Build strong relationships internally. As part of our alignment with our Digital Strategy, you will be knitted in with Digital Strategy initiative owners in IT, Operations and Business Change and rely on them for subject matter expertise and direction, and will provide them with regular informal updates as well as a short formal quarterly update.
- Manage productive relationships with vendors.
- Set out and present the business case and POC output recommendations to the TIG.
- Contribute to short weekly SharePoint news updates for wider readership.
Required Skills
- Experience in the Lloyds insurance market.
- Software project management or delivery experience.
- Interest in technology solutions. Any involvement in an AI project would be beneficial but not necessary.
- Sharepoint and PPM Tool experience desirable.
