This is a fantastic opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to maintain financial records while gaining valuable experience within the Lloyd’s market.
Role Description
- Book-keeping
- Preparation of journals for Group companies.
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register and calculate the monthly depreciation charge.
- Maintain and calculate the monthly prepayments schedule.
- Process business travel and liaise with the business to ensure costs are allocated correctly.
Reporting
- Preparation of the statutory accounts of the Atrium Group and Northshore Group companies under different accounting bases, UK GAAP and US GAAP.
- Prepare the management accounts and performance commentaries for Atrium Group and Northshore Group companies.
- Prepare and assist the team in preparation of the quarterly audit files, including all balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial information for Atrium Group and Northshore Group reporting.
- Prepare monthly consolidated balance sheet reconciliations for CRC Group parent company.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations and investigate variances on a timely basis.
- Assist with intercompany transactions and reconciliations across Group entities.
- Assist with the annual audit process, including the preparation of supporting schedules and responses to information requests.
- Provide cover for the recharged expenses allocation process.
- Ensure all relevant internal control documentation is timely and correctly recorded within the Finance department.
- Assist with any ad-hoc tasks of the Group team, as and when required.
Audit & Compliance
- Maintain the relationship with the external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with audit requirements with prompt and accurate delivery of audit requests.
- Adhere to Atrium Group internal control requirements.
Project Work
- Assist with ad hoc project work, for example changes to reporting requirements and process arising from the integration with the CRC Group parent company.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- IT Skills – Excel, Word, Accounting System preferably CODA, automation tools, Workiva.
- Able to use spreadsheets and manipulate data.
- Knowledge of book keeping.
