We are seeking an experienced
Vice President, Tax Management Manager to lead a specialist operational team responsible for transaction tax processing, controls, client servicing, and operational oversight within a highly regulated environment.
This is a key leadership role offering the opportunity to drive operational excellence, strengthen governance and controls, enhance client service delivery, and contribute to strategic transformation initiatives within a globally recognised financial institution.
The Opportunity
This role offers broad exposure across Transaction Tax Operations and Wealth Services activities, including:
- Oversight of transaction taxes including
- Stamp Duty, Irish Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax (FTT), and PTM Levy
- Applying tax rules across operational processes and trade lifecycle activities
- Managing transaction tax reconciliations, controls, and exception investigations
- Investigating and resolving SDRT and Stamp Duty breaks and discrepancies
- Managing tax payments and submissions in line with HMRC and Revenue Commissioner deadlines
- Supporting tax reclaim investigations, preparation, submission, and processing activities
- Monitoring tax treatments across settlements and unpaid CREST positions
- Acting as the primary escalation point for operational, client, and risk-related matters
- Managing relationships with clients, operational teams, and key stakeholders
- Producing operational MI, performance metrics, and reporting
- Driving process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency initiatives
- Leading and developing a high-performing operational team
What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within
Tax Operations, Wealth Operations, Custody Operations, Asset Servicing, Settlements, or Financial Services Operations
- Strong understanding of transaction taxes including
SDRT, Stamp Duty, Irish Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax, PTM Levy, or related tax processing activities
- Experience supporting operational controls, reconciliations, exception management, and risk oversight
- Proven people leadership and team management experience
- Strong stakeholder management and client-facing skills
- Experience working within highly regulated financial services environments
- Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving capabilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and reporting skills
Desirable Experience
- Wealth Services, Custody, or Asset Servicing experience
- Knowledge of trade lifecycle and settlements processes
- Experience with tax reclaims and regulatory reporting activities
