Senior Residential Support Worker – Children\’s EBD Home
Full-Time | Approx. 40 hours/week including sleep-ins (avg. 8 per month)
Are you an experienced professional in children\’s residential care looking for your next rewarding role?
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established 5-bed Ofsted-registered EBD home seeking a compassionate and committed Senior Residential Support Worker to join their dedicated team. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality care and promoting positive outcomes for children aged 8-18 in a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
·Support children in their daily routines, emotional development, and education through structured activities.
·Implement and follow individualised care plans in line with therapeutic approaches.
·Promote a safe, supportive and child-focused environment.
·Work effectively with families, schools, external professionals and the internal care team.
·Maintain accurate records and reports via digital systems.
·Drive children to appointments, activities, and other locations as required.
Essential Requirements:
·Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Children\’s Social Care (or equivalent).
·At least 2 years\’ experience working in a residential EBD children\’s home.
·Full clean UK Driving Licence.
·Must already be authorised to work in the UK – No visa sponsorship available.
·Willingness to work on a rota basis, including weekends, evenings, and regular sleep-in shifts.
Additional Skills:
·Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
·Ability to respond calmly and effectively to challenging behaviours.
·Proficient in using IT for documentation and reporting.
