Job Overview
We are seeking a Security Engineer with strong AWS expertise to support the development and maintenance of security platforms, with a focus on cloud applications and pipeline security.
You will work within the security function to design, develop, and configure security tooling across both customer-facing environments and internal infrastructure. This role involves close collaboration with engineering and architecture teams to embed security into development pipelines, ensuring secure delivery through automation, guardrails, and monitoring.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Security Architects and internal teams to deliver security initiatives
- Work with engineers and solution architects to define secure technical requirements
- Develop delivery plans and manage task execution
- Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities across applications and infrastructure
- Perform vulnerability testing, risk analysis, and security assessments
- Produce security documentation, standards, and guidelines
- Recommend improvements to enhance detection, response, and risk mitigation
- Ensure adherence to information security policies and technical standards
- Integrate security tooling into CI/CD pipelines and development workflows
- Implement monitoring and guardrails to ensure secure application delivery
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in security engineering
- Experience working within a security tooling or SOC environment
- Strong understanding of secure development practices within CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with source control and development platforms (e.g. GitHub, Azure DevOps)
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to implement security controls within development environments
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks and security standards
- Experience with threat modelling and dynamic security testing
- Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash or similar)
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Azure security configuration
- Experience implementing security automation
- Knowledge of security technologies including SIEM, SOAR, IDS, WAF, and vulnerability management tools
- Experience with SIEM platforms, including ELK stack
