Atrium Global is supporting them in identifying an experienced professional to manage clinical trial supplies across a global portfolio.
Job Overview
The Manager, Trial Supplies Management will create and maintain supply strategies for investigational products, ensuring alignment with scientific, regulatory and clinical development needs.
The role supports global studies by developing supply plans, forecasting, monitoring inventory, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery of quality clinical supplies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with internal Global Clinical Supply Chain teams and external stakeholders to meet study needs.
- Define, plan and communicate clinical supply strategies in support of global clinical trials.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across the function.
- Influence clinical and development timelines, protocol design and country selection.
- Review draft clinical protocols and communicate timelines and supply strategies to teams.
- Develop study supply forecasts and monitor utilisation against expectations.
- Issue manufacturing, packaging and labelling requests in line with planning timelines and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor investigational product use dates, support extensions and coordinate related labelling.
- Ensure timely delivery of clinical supplies, considering regulatory and QP release needs.
- Participate in development and approval of IRT specifications and maintain supply strategies at depot and site level.
- Attend internal Clinical Supply and Study Team meetings, highlighting risks and mitigation strategies.
- Work with Strategic Sourcing to procure commercial drug aligned with study and country requirements.
- Manage supply and demand estimates for budget purposes and update forecasts as plans evolve.
- Act as the primary contact for clinical supplies across assigned studies.
- Support actions linked to change controls.
- Prepare documentation such as e TMF content, CSR appendices and batch listings for inspection readiness.
- Enter product complaints and deviations, working with Quality partners on investigations.
- Manage conflicts or issues with internal and external collaborators.
- Contribute to departmental procedural documentation.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Experience in Clinical Supplies or Clinical Development with global exposure.
- Strong understanding of the global drug development process and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and project management skills.
- Knowledge of forecasting, planning, manufacturing, packaging, labelling, IVRS, logistics, stability and quality processes.
- Understanding of import and export requirements.
- Proficiency with IVRS and CTMS systems.
- Strong industry technology knowledge.
- Ability to drive consensus and translate strategy into action.
- Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution and influencing capabilities.
- Experience coaching and mentoring is desirable.
