The Role
Working across a diverse portfolio of projects, you will provide specialist radiation protection advice, ensuring clients remain compliant, safe and operationally effective. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing practical and pragmatic radiation protection advice to clients
- Preparing and reviewing risk assessments, procedures and technical documentation
- Conducting onshore and offshore radiation protection audits
- Delivering high-quality consultancy services within agreed timescales
- Delivering radiation protection training courses
- Supporting and mentoring trainee RPAs working towards RPA2000 certification
- Sharing technical expertise and industry best practice across projects and sectors
About You
You will be a knowledgeable and approachable professional who can communicate complex technical information clearly and effectively.
Essential Requirements
- Current RPA certification
- Experience providing radiation protection advice within a relevant industry sector
- Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team
Desirable
- Radioactive Waste Adviser (RWA) certification, or working towards achieving it
- DGSA certification or experience with Class 7 transport regulations
