Quantity Surveyor – We are working with a leading specialist in modern methods of construction, delivering high-quality, precision-engineered light gauge steel solutions across the UK. With over a decade of MMC expertise and a strong pipeline of residential and multi-storey projects, they are expanding the commercial team and seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to support with continued growth. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial performance of modular projects from early design stages through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, production teams, and external stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency, contractual compliance, and high-quality project delivery.

The role focuses on managing project costs, forecasts, budgets, and valuations across modular projects, ensuring alignment with contracts and MMC processes.

Responsibilities

  • Manage project costs, forecasts, budgets, and valuations
  • Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, and procurement schedules
  • Conduct site measurements and valuations for off-site and on-site works
  • Assess subcontractor packages, negotiate terms, and manage performance
  • Monitor project variations, risks, and opportunities
  • Prepare monthly cost reports and contribute to project review meetings
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and MMC processes
  • Support continuous improvement across commercial operations

Requirements

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years\\\’ experience in a QS role, commercial & residential desirable
  • Excellent commercial awareness and cost control skills
  • Able to negotiate, communicate with clients, and record reports
  • Ability to work collaboratively across design, manufacturing, and site teams
  • Ambitious, organised, and committed to delivering high-quality work

Offer
