Position: M&E Quantity Surveyor.
Location: Cambridge or Norwich.
Salary: From £35.000 up to £55.000
We\’re working on behalf of a design-led mechanical and electrical building services company with over 50 years of experience, headquartered in East Anglia with offices in Norwich and Cambridge. The company provides fully integrated services, from concept design and installation through to ongoing maintenance across a wide range of sectors, including education, commercial, residential, healthcare, defence, energy, and leisure. Renowned for its skilled in-house teams, commitment to sustainability, and strong client relationships, the business blends innovation with practical delivery to consistently meet and exceed client expectations. They are currently seeking a motivated and proactive M&E Quantity Surveyor (Junior to Intermediate level) to join their growing commercial team in either Cambridge or Norwich. In this role, you will play a key part in managing the financial and contractual aspects of M&E projects, ensuring cost efficiency, compliance, and the successful delivery of a diverse project portfolio.
Your Role
- Develop and manage project budgets, cost plans, and financial forecasts
- Prepare valuations, assess variations, and manage final accounts
- Support the procurement and tendering process for subcontractors and suppliers
- Track project progress and deliver accurate commercial reports to stakeholders
- Collaborate with site teams, clients, and suppliers to maintain commercial alignment
- Identify and mitigate risks while maximising opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
- Assist with contract negotiation and administration, including NEC, JCT, and other standard forms
