Our client is seeking an experienced and driven QS to join the team. They are a UK based company specialising in renewable heating and cooling technologies, particularly focused on ground source, water source, and air source heat pump systems. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a company at the forefront of renewable energy innovation.

The Role

  • Manage cost control and financial aspects of projects from inception to completion, ensuring budgets are adhered to and profitability is maintained.
  • Prepare, evaluate, and negotiate contracts while identifying and mitigating risks.
  • Provide commercial support to project delivery teams, overseeing budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies and process improvements in project delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and regulations to ensure the company remains competitive in the renewables market.
  • Support business development strategies, using commercial insights to drive growth and project success.

Requirements

  • Experience in Quantity Surveying, ideally within the renewables, infrastructure, or construction sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of contract management, cost control, and project financials.
  • Experience with ground source heat technology or similar renewable energy systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively under pressure.
  • A self‑motivated professional with a collaborative approach and a passion for sustainability.
