We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join their Children\’s Disabilities Service in King\’s Lynn. This role offers the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and young people with disabilities, supporting their development and ensuring they thrive in a safe, nurturing environment. Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time (38 hours per week) Salary: £24,206 – £24,601 per annum (depending on qualifications) Additional Pay: 2 sleep-ins per month, paid at £64.95 per sleep-in Shifts: 8-hour shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis Main Responsibilities ·Develop and maintain positive working relationships with professionals, parents, family members, and school staff. ·Support children and young people in accessing developmental opportunities tailored to their needs. ·Safeguard the health, wellbeing, and development of children and young people, both inside and outside the home. ·Maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive home environment, sensitive to dietary, cultural, and religious needs. ·Involve children and young people in decisions around daily routines and activities, empowering them to take responsibility where appropriate. ·Encourage and promote individual hobbies, interests, and activities. ·Implement management decisions positively, ensuring children and young people feel supported and empowered. ·Ensure smooth transitions through key stages such as referral, admission, and transition, aligned with care plans. ·Comply with statutory and legislative requirements and contribute to the creation, implementation, and monitoring of individual care plans. ·Follow health and safety training and policies, reporting hazards or risks promptly. ·Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by line management. What We\’re Looking For ·A caring, resilient, and reliable individual committed to supporting children and young people with disabilities. ·Strong communication and relationship-building skills. ·Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently. ·Flexibility to work on a rota, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins. ·Experience in a care or support role (desirable but not essential). ·Relevant qualifications in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards them). ·Full UK driving license is essential.
