We are seeking someone with SHEQ experience to work with a successful, family-owned firm based in Ipswich. Our client specialises in construction and offers a wide range of professional services. The successful candidate will support the SHEQ Manager in establishing and maintaining the highest SHEQ standards for the business. This role involves frequent travel to sites and the successful candidate will assist the SHEQ Manager at Ipswich Head Office.
Your Role:
- Advise, guide and coach all employees with the implementation of the Company procedures and policies.
- Advise on all current occupational SHE legislation.
- Conduct SHEQ inspections, ensuring compliance with Company procedures and policies.
- Assist the Site Team to improve SHEQ performance on site.
- Carry out investigations into accidents/incidents as instructed by the SHEQ Manager.
- Maintain/promote liaison with officials and professional bodies (e.g. HSE, ROSPA, IOSH, BSI, EA etc).
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and codes of practice.
- Report to the SHEQ Manager on legal/regulatory compliance and non-compliance with safety, health, environmental and quality system and suggest/promote ways of improving performance.
- Complete the necessary SHEQ training and obtain the relevant professional qualifications.
