Are you a proven sales leader with a passion for driving growth within the Managed Service Provider (MSP) sector? Our client is a highly successful and rapidly growing technology solutions provider, helping businesses across the UK maximise the value of their technology through innovative Managed IT Services, Cyber Security, Cloud and Data Solutions. As they continue their ambitious growth journey, they are looking to appoint an experienced New Business Sales Director to build, lead and develop a high-performing new business function.

The Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, you will be responsible for creating and executing a winning new business strategy, developing a high-performing sales team and driving significant revenue growth across the SME market. This is far more than a leadership position. You'll be a strategic driver of growth, building relationships with senior decision-makers, identifying new opportunities and leading from the front to secure major new business wins. You'll have the autonomy to shape the function, influence business direction and create a culture centred around performance, accountability and success.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Develop a High-Performing Sales Team
- Recruit, mentor and develop a team of Business Development Managers.
- Create a high-performance culture focused on achievement, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Deliver coaching, training and development programmes to maximise individual and team success.
- Inspire and motivate colleagues to consistently exceed expectations.
- Drive New Business Growth
- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan focused on acquiring new SME customers.
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across Managed IT, Cyber Security, Cloud and Data Solutions.
- Build strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Lead complex sales engagements from initial prospecting through to successful contract closure.
- Personally contribute to major revenue-generating opportunities.
- Build & Manage a Robust Sales Pipeline
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.
- Ensure consistent lead generation through networking, referrals, strategic partnerships and outbound business development.
- Monitor pipeline health, conversion metrics and sales performance against targets.
- Work closely with marketing teams to develop impactful lead generation campaigns and market messaging.
- Collaborate Across the Business
- Partner with delivery, technical, customer success and marketing teams to ensure a seamless customer journey.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support ongoing service innovation.
- Help shape commercial strategy through data, market insights and customer trends.

- Demonstrable success winning new logo business and driving sustainable growth.
