I am currently recruiting on behalf of a reputable client for an experienced Gas Engineer / Plumber to join their team. This is a mobile role offering varied and rewarding work across domestic settings.
Role Overview:
- Conducting planned annual gas safety checks and boiler services
- Diagnosing and repairing boiler breakdowns
- Installing new boilers and domestic heating systems
- Completing all domestic plumbing works, including bathroom installations
- Maintaining accurate work records via an online system
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out heating engineering and plumbing tasks including repairs, servicing, and installations
- Install domestic heating systems to manufacturer standards and regulatory requirements
- Issue gas safety notices and certificates
- Attend scheduled appointments across Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire
- Drive and maintain the company vehicle in a safe and professional manner
- Keep in contact with support and coordination teams to receive updates and resolve any issues
- Ensure compliance with all training and certification requirements
- Represent the company positively to clients and the public
Essential Skills & Experience:
- NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Plumbing & Heating
- Gas Safe registered
- Full UK manual driving license
- Domestic plumbing and gas experience
- Proficient in plumbing diagnostics, servicing, maintenance, and repair
- Bathroom installation experience
- Strong customer service skills
Desirable Attributes:
- Certification for installation of vented and unvented cylinders
- Tiling skills (wall and floor)
- Experience working in high-end residential properties
- Confidence managing own workload independently
- CSCS card (preferred)
